Day 15 - Another River Revisited

It had been a long night, filled with dreams of travel to a faraway land, but now I was awake, it was morning, and I was stepping out of my house to start the day's walk.
I continued on my way through the land of crazy mountains, spotting the odd creeper bouncing around the hillsides, none close enough to worry about. A zombie was loitering in the water, cleverly using it to avoid bursting into flames from the sunlight. Of course, once he saw me approaching he stupidly decided to jump out and prompted burst into flames.
It wasn't long before I was leaving the looming landscape and moving back into the relatively flat and lifeless desert zone, and I found myself winding back along the opposite bank of a river I had travelled along previously. I spotted a village I had explored - the marker stones I had left behind showed where I had entered it.
But this place of sand did not last long - I was soon back into the lush greens and thick forests and replenishing my stocks of wood as I went.
At one point I passed a physics-defying space beside the river which seemed oddly hydrophobic.
Instead of climbing down, walking through and climbing up the other side, I lazily built a simple dirt bridge across and continued on my way. I passed a door where I had spent a previous night, a couple of deep pits (both with pigs in!) and finally ended up at the entrance to a vast underground space just as night was falling.
I headed in, blocking up the entrance and fitting a door into it behind me. Inside I found small ledges, vast dark drops and a zombie looking very lost and confused.
I dug my way around to him and put him out of his misery. I then ensured I was set up for the following day by turning wood into charcoal and building up my supply of torches which I had mostly used up on my explorations overnight. The new day dawned - or at least tried to - in a heavy shower of rain which made it difficult to decide when exactly morning had begun.
