The day began with a round of spider slaying, as a whole bunch of them were gathered outside my camp.
Once the spiders had been dealt with there were a couple of creepers to get rid of too.
And then I could begin to move on. I continued through the desert for a while and then my route took me towards another interesting group of mountains.
But before I could get to them, I had to pass through an area of swampland where I gathered some mushrooms for no real reason and chopped down a few trees to improve my wood stocks.
As I got closer to the mountains it began raining, and my approach was diverted by having to follow the path of a river running alongside them. Still, the rocks loomed ominously above me as I walked.
At the source of the river, where I turned back to really enter the mountainous zone, there was a mysterious floating island - the second such sight I had seen on my journey.
Shortly after, on the way back, I spotted a very brave tree growing way up on the top of a precarious looking outcropping. For some reason I hadn't seen this on my way down the river; perhaps I just wasn't looking up.
Now that I was well into the mountains and cliffs my progress slowed, thanks to the lack of a wide shoreline. It wasn't long before night was falling again.
I built a camp inside a small cave set into the cliffside, turned some wood into charcoal and fell alseep.
